Highly inspired by the old city houses of Jaipur, this temporary Exhibition space was built within a tight space of 6m x 6m to showcase wide range of products from Jaipur Rugs- a piece of art that is handcrafted by local artisans. The core idea was to showcase rugs within a space with multiple set-ups highlighting its artisanal qualities. The spaces unfold rhythmically with front yard ‘otta’ (Vestibule) with an external staircase that opens up in the ‘aangan’ (court). These court is further connected by an ‘orda’ room. Each of these zones display rugs with different set up. The pavilion features beige pink texture imitating the pink sandstone of Jaipur.
